Gerard Said is a lecturer at the MCAST ICT.
Gerard has three years of experience taking students through their first steps in Java at the MCAST ICT. Developing the curriculum based on BTEC requirements for second year national diploma and first year higher national diploma students is a challenging task which changes every year.
Apart from experience introducing students to Java, Gerry has also been involved in the setting up and administration of the MCAST ICT network, and has experience managing technologies as diverse as MySQL and SQL server, as well as multi user Oracle set-ups.
He has also been involved in several web development projects using open source CMS systems such as ASP Nuke and Post Nuke as well as Joomla and Wordpress.
