Introduction
More often than not, similar challenges and problems recur across software projects. Patterns describe typical problems encountered by enterprise application developers and provide solutions for these problems by expressing "best practices" approaches and proven techniques that make it easier to apply and reuse successful designs and architectures. The next session will explore such patterns as well as how (and when) to apply the patterns to one's own particular application and specific needs in order to try to design your JavaEE system better and quicker.
