These models should be based on the Gap Analysis.

The two models so far discussed are:

SCA as a base layer for Mule

In this model the SCA provider (potentially from a third party) forms a base layer to Mule providing such features as:

Service deployment
Policies
Composites
Service reference resolving
Contract enforcing

In this model, SCA can be likened to a filesystem a means of accessing and managing services in the manner of a filesystem.

Mule would then be, in the same analogy, the operating system on top of the filesystem.

SCA as a configuration layer on top of Mule

In this model SCA configuration would be placed on top of Mule, making maximum use of Mule.

SCA as a parallel implemetation to Mule

In this model SCA would be vertically parallel to Mule, with some possible sharing of base functionality.
