Overview
The excel module provides a set of utilities to facilitate the work with excel documents. Such documents are often used by reporting systems to export informations and represent the information in a chart. Excel documents are used in many workflow projects to export information based on a excel template. The most used library this kind of work is Jakarta POI. This is a useful library to read and write excel files witha low level API.
A more common requirement in projects is the mapping between excel documents and internal data objects. Therefore a small and easy-to-use project, called jXLS was set up. It enables developers to read and write excel doucments on
an abstract layer.
