When Deploying an application, it doesn't show the path, but rather shortens it the C:\fakepath

Actually it's not related to MMC but to some browser providing better security.

Please do not create an MMC bug !

Depending on your browser you might have an option to restore expected (but potentially unsecure) behavior.
